The 'Ambulance' project - one among the projects in connection with the 175th anniversary of the CSI Cathedral was completed on the 3rd of July 2016.
Respected Rt. Rev. Dr. Royce Manoj Victor thirumeni blessed the vehicle and handed over the key to Dr. Jairaj Periyan, the Medical Superintendent of the Codacal Hospital in a small function arranged on June 30th at 4:00 pm.

Rev. Dr. T.I. James, Rev. Dn. Shabu Thomas, Rev. Dr. Vincent Moses, members of Pastorate committee, Diocesan council and Diocesan office bearers were present on the occasion. Rev. Dn. Shabu Thomas read from the scriptures after which Thirumeni blessed the vehicle.

Mr. Denzil John, the Pastorate Secretary spoke on behalf of the congregation. The Key to the ambulance was handed over to Dr. Jairaj Periyan. Dr. Oliver Noone the Medical board Secretary of the Codacal Hospital was also present.
A team of delegates comprising of Dr. Jairaj Perian, Dr. Aneeta, Mr. Bestin, Mr. Santhosh, Mr. Tinu George and Mr. Suvin from the PMR Department of Codacal Hospital attended the Divine Malayalam service on July 3rd at the Cathedral. A 'folding wheel chair' with removable arms and reclinable back-rest for use by PMR department was sponsored by the Cathedral Youth Fellowship. Another 'folding wheel chair' and a 'Water-bed' were donated by a family in Cathedral. These were handed over to the delegates by Mr. Denzil John our Pastorate Committee secretary, during the service. Mr. Denzil John, Dr. Oliver Noone and Dr. Jairaj Periyan addressed the congregation.

Rev. Dr. T.I. James said a word of prayer and Rev. Dn. Shabu Thomas flagged-off the Ambulance after the Malayalam service, witnessed by the congregation. Sweets were distributed to all those who gathered.
