C.S.I. CATHEDRAL Kozhikode: Kattangal Harvest Festival Feb 15, 2015

Harvest Festival was celebrated by the congregation at Kattangal Prayer Hall on the 15^th of Feb 2015. Rev. N.K. Prasad, (Vicar and Chairman, St. Mary’s English Church, Calicut) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Rev. P.S. Ebenezer (Cathedral Chairman), Rev. Sam Prakash (Cathedral), Rev. Vinod Allen (Cathedral), Rev. Saju Benjamin (Feroke), Rev. Joy Alex (Puthiyara), Rev. T.J. Joseph (Gundert) and Rev. Dr. Samuel Coodacal (Retd. Presbyter, NKD) graced the occassion with their presence.

Mr. Sarin Lawrance the Church worker at Kattangal welcomed the gathering. Dr. Oliver Noone (District Church Board President), Mr. Denzil John (Cathedral Pastorate Secretary), Mr. Stanley John (Kattangal) and Mr. Joy (Gundert Church) read the Bible lessons in the service. Special Songs were sung by the Kattangal Sunday school, Cathedral Sunday School, CSI Church Chootad, CSI Puthiyara church, Cathedral Mens’ Fellowship, Cathedral Womens Fellowship, Cathedral Youth Fellowship and Cathedral Choir.

Mementos were given to the Sunday School children at Kattangal who secured 'A' grade in the Diocesan Exams conducted in Dec 2014. All the other sunday school children were given gift hampers. A special memento was awarded to Mrs. Linda Stanley who recently received her PhD in Mathematics from the NIT. She is serving as a teacher at the Kattangal Sunday School and is presently working as Lecturer at KMCT Engineering College at Calicut. Mr. Nelson P. (Kattangal Secretary) extended the vote of thanks. The service began at 2:00 pm and concluded around 4:30 pm. Auction and Tea stalls were arranged after the service.
